About the Role
You will own the performance and reliability of robotic assembly systems at a major customer site. You will troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies using live data and diagnostic tools, determine corrective actions, communicate with customers and manufacturing partners, maintain status reports, and train customers on device operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Requirements
- 5 or more years in a customer-facing technical role
- Experience in an automation and robotics environment
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Automation, robotics, and PLC experience
- Experience using vision systems for inspection and point-of-interest interpolation
- Experience with labeling applications and industrial printers
- Understanding of complex programming and nested recipes
- Confidence troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
- Technical documentation experience, including electrical, pneumatic, 2D, and 3D mechanical documentation
- Basic experience with 3D CAD software
- Ability to repair and maintain mechanical systems
- Reporting, data collection, and analysis skills
Responsibilities
- Support multiple robotic assembly systems at a major customer site
- Communicate with customers and manufacturing partners about equipment performance
- Collect customer feedback and share it for continuous improvement and product roadmap development
- Serve as the primary interface between remote technical experts, field service engineers, and customer production leads
- Use troubleshooting skills, live data, diagnostic tools, and feedback to diagnose hardware and software anomalies and determine corrective actions
- Maintain status reports
- Train customers on device operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Provide customer service and address customer concerns
