About the Role
You will maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems in an explosives manufacturing operation. You will troubleshoot production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, commission equipment, maintain utilities, follow safety procedures, and work with production and engineering to resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 7+ years of direct industrial maintenance experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and production machinery
- Knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, VFDs, conduit, and wiring
- Basic understanding of PLCs and control systems
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain state and federal explosives licenses
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or required export authorization eligibility
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and production machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V
- Support controls and PLC troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Install, align, and commission equipment and components
- Maintain and repair facility utilities and infrastructure
- Follow safety, lockout/tagout, material-handling, and PPE procedures
- Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve equipment issues
