About the Role

You will serve as an independent resident director for a Seychelles entity. You will challenge strategy risk and conduct decisions oversee management assess controls and financial information support board committees and engage with the Seychelles regulator and local advisers. You must attend required meetings in person and uphold strong governance standards.

Requirements

• Residency in Seychelles
• Current right to reside and work in Seychelles
• Ability to satisfy the FSA fitness and propriety assessment
• Board-level or senior governance experience in a regulated financial services banking insurance fiduciary or corporate services business
• Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations
• Knowledge of the Seychelles regulatory environment
• Financial literacy sufficient to assess financial statements controls and risk reporting
• Demonstrable independence of mind
• Willingness to challenge management and record dissent
• Fluent English
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience in virtual assets fintech payments or capital markets is advantageous
• Prior regulatory experience is advantageous
• Experience chairing an audit risk or compliance committee is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Challenge strategy risk and conduct decisions
• Hold management accountable to shareholders and stakeholders
• Provide strategic guidance and specialist advice to the board
• Scrutinize management and executive director performance
• Support regulatory fitness and propriety requirements
• Maintain a resident board presence in Seychelles
• Attend board and management meetings in person
• Oversee controls risk management and financial reporting
• Support executive director appointment remuneration and succession planning
• Serve on board committees as required
