About the Role

You will lead US public policy and government relations efforts, engaging with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders to influence legislative and regulatory outcomes. You will develop advocacy strategies, create policy papers and executive briefings, and translate complex regulatory topics into clear narratives. You will align policy work with legal, compliance, product, and communications functions, execute coalition building and lobbying efforts, and manage external advisors and partners. You will also oversee regional policy operations and advise senior counsel on strategic policy priorities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years public policy experience with preference for US government and financial services and technology sectors
  • 10+ years managing teams of policy professionals including budgeting strategic planning and career development
  • Strong background in advocacy and public policy development related to global financial services issues
  • Strategic thinker with strong political instincts
  • Demonstrated coalition building across ideological and institutional lines
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making judgment calls in high stakes situations
  • Proven success leading high performing policy teams and managing complex multi stakeholder advocacy campaigns
  • Exceptional communication skills translating complex regulatory and technical concepts for diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and guide US public policy and government relations strategy
  • Identify and prioritize legislative and regulatory developments affecting payments banking digital assets consumer protection and financial inclusion
  • Develop narratives and thought leadership that resonate with legislators regulators and the public
  • Develop thought leadership policy papers and advocacy materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior policymakers government officials congressional offices and regulatory agencies
  • Partner with legal compliance product and communications teams to align policy strategy
  • Design and execute advocacy strategies including direct engagement coalition building and participation in legislative and regulatory processes
  • Oversee development of policy materials executive briefings and leadership engagement
  • Manage regional policy team external advisors lobbyists and trade associations
  • Advise senior counsel on policy strategy and priorities
