About the Role

You will build and lead North American public policy strategy, focusing on the United States. You will engage Congress, the Executive Branch, regulators, and policy stakeholders; develop positions on legislative and regulatory issues; translate policy developments into business recommendations; advise executives; represent the organization publicly; and manage lobbyists, trade associations, and coalitions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in U.S. government policy programs
  • Experience in emerging technology, financial services, or national security policy
  • Understanding of Congress and the Executive Branch
  • Track record of successful policy initiatives
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience creating executable plans with measurable outcomes
  • Experience working with lobbyists, trade associations, and coalitions
  • Understanding of and interest in digital assets
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch, U.S. regulators, and policy stakeholders
  • Develop company positions on legislative, regulatory, appropriations, and public policy issues
  • Translate legislative and regulatory activity into business strategy and executive recommendations
  • Represent Chainalysis in policy meetings, consultations, conferences, and public speaking engagements
  • Prepare briefing materials and policy recommendations for executives
  • Advise executive leadership on political, legislative, and regulatory developments
  • Manage lobbyists, trade associations, and external coalitions
  • Develop thought leadership content and communications
  • Build and maintain a network of policy stakeholders
