About the Role

You will lead engineering culture, mentor engineers, and set clear technical standards and priorities. You will govern production releases, review architecture and code quality, and partner on resilient cloud infrastructure. You will also enforce access controls, auditability, security requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Experience in a regulated fintech, digital asset, payments, or trading platform environment
• Experience mentoring engineers, building team culture, and establishing release discipline
• Hands-on background in Go or Python
• Understanding of backend architectures, transactional databases, analytical data layers, and messaging queues
• Ability to establish or enforce UAT staging workflows, CI/CD test gates, and release governance
• Familiarity with MAS TRM, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent financial technology security frameworks

Responsibilities

• Build a high-trust, accountable engineering environment
• Coach engineers and establish technical benchmarks and career pathways
• Prioritize work and balance commercial urgency against technical debt
• Approve production releases and enforce release gates
• Enforce dual-authorization controls for deployments, database migrations, and hotfixes
• Oversee isolated UAT and staging environments with sanitized mock data
• Maintain technical oversight of backend microservices
• Review technical designs for security, scalability, and compliance
• Establish code review, test coverage, and static analysis standards
• Co-own platform resilience, cloud standards, container orchestration, and disaster recovery
• Act as technical authority for regulatory audits and security assessments
• Enforce PAM, RBAC, and immutable audit trails for production changes
