About the Role

You will own complex revenue-accounting judgments, deal-desk approvals, technical disclosures, revenue-system enhancements, and internal controls. You will shape commercial structures before signature, automate accounting workflows, support new products and pricing models, and lead and mentor the accounting team.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing a high-performing accounting team
• Expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition for software, subscription, or consumption-based models
• Experience conducting technical accounting research, writing position memos, and supporting external audits
• Experience preparing US GAAP disclosures
• Experience designing and operating internal controls over financial reporting
• Ability to influence sales, legal, and systems stakeholders
• Experience owning a revenue or billing platform such as Zuora
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification

Responsibilities

• Research, conclude, document, and explain complex revenue-recognition positions
• Own accounting contract-approval policy and deal-desk execution
• Partner with sales and legal to structure commercially viable agreements
• Lead revenue footnotes, technical disclosures, and public-company reporting readiness
• Own revenue-system requirements, design, testing, cutover, and optimization
• Advocate for accounting automation with engineering and systems partners
• Design, implement, document, test, and remediate internal controls
• Build scalable and automated revenue-accounting processes
• Use Claude to streamline accounting research, memos, contract reviews, reconciliations, and disclosures
• Advise on accounting implications of products, pricing, and go-to-market decisions
• Set priorities, mentor the team, and raise its technical standards
