About the Role
You will own revenue recognition, billing operations, contract review, sales and indirect tax processes, revenue close activities, and audit deliverables. You will advise on deal structures, automate billing-to-cash workflows, reconcile billed and recognized revenue, and partner with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, and FP&A.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years focused on revenue accounting and recognition
- Knowledge of ASC 606
- Experience reviewing commercial contracts for accounting treatment
- Experience owning billing operations
- Public company or audit-ready private company experience
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP
- Experience with a modern billing platform
- Based in San Francisco or New York with ability to work in person 3+ days per week
Responsibilities
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Advise on revenue treatment for deal structures, products, and pricing models
- Own end-to-end billing operations
- Automate billing-to-cash workflows
- Strengthen collections processes
- Build and maintain contract review processes
- Advise on deal structuring
- Own sales and indirect tax processes
- Own revenue-related monthly close activities
- Reconcile billed and recognized revenue with FP&A
- Own revenue-related audit deliverables
