About the Role
Lead product engineering strategy and execution at Coinhako, partnering with executives, product managers, and stakeholders to align engineering with business objectives and technical excellence. Build and mentor an engineering team while overseeing the full product development lifecycle for robust, secure, high-performance crypto solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product engineering experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience leading broker-dealer trading systems or similar complex financial systems.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency, digital asset markets, trading systems, and exchange architectures.
- Experience building highly available, low-latency, high-performance financial applications.
- Expertise in software architecture, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Ruby, Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with blockchain, smart contracts, and digital asset transaction systems.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the platform's technical vision and strategy.
- Lead development of scalable, secure, high-performance exchange features.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and product managers on the engineering roadmap.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire product engineers.
- Recruit talent and develop engineering leadership.
- Promote collaboration across engineering, product, UX/UI, security, and operations.
- Oversee the end-to-end product engineering lifecycle.
- Lead architecture and design of scalable, low-latency systems.
- Drive product improvements while maintaining regulatory compliance and security.
- Optimize the platform for high transaction volumes and low latency.
- Champion automated testing, continuous integration, and monitoring.
- Improve infrastructure availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
- Implement data protection, AML, and KYC best practices.
- Enhance the platform's security posture and mitigate risks.
- Align engineering work with legal and compliance requirements.
- Drive adoption of fintech, blockchain, and digital asset technologies.
- Research trading algorithms, risk management tools, and blockchain integrations.
- Improve engineering processes, transparency, and collaboration.
- Establish metrics and KPIs for engineering initiatives.
