About the Role
You will lead a team of engineers hands-on, running planning, prioritization, and delivery while supporting people management and day-to-day decisions. You will own infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and on-call, fix operational issues before they reach customers, and operate blockchain networks across the Tatum ecosystem. You will handle production operations, debugging, and incident resolution, set technical standards, and improve documentation and release quality. You will also monitor infrastructure and vendor costs, assess technical feasibility for new deals, and guide vendor decisions.
Requirements
- Around 5+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or backend engineering across cloud, VPS, or bare-metal environments
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem (Node.js, Nest.js)
- Ability to set priorities based on business impact, customer needs, cost, reliability, and operational risk
- Clear communication and willingness to stand up for the team
- Comfort with production responsibility, incident handling, and on-call participation
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, reliability, and quality in practice
- Willingness to work with customers or customer-facing teams when needed
- Pragmatic, adaptable, and ownership-driven approach from research to production
Responsibilities
- Run team planning, prioritization, estimates, backlog, and delivery
- Support people management, coordination, and day-to-day operational decisions
- Improve collaboration across Product, Engineering, Support, and Security
- Own infrastructure reliability, observability, monitoring, and on-call
- Find and fix reliability, performance, and operational issues before they reach customers
- Research, integrate, and operate blockchain networks in the Tatum ecosystem
- Support work on Tatum's Dashboard, API platform, backend services, and internal tools
- Handle production operations, debugging, and incident resolution
- Set technical standards and improve documentation and engineering processes
- Define and improve quality and release quality
- Monitor infrastructure and vendor costs and their impact on COGS and margins
- Assess technical feasibility and cost impact for new deals, trials, and commitments
- Guide vendor decisions on reliability, SLAs, pricing, and operational fit
