About the Role
You will lead the transition toward platform and data engineering while owning the architecture and delivery roadmap for business systems integrations and enterprise data. You will manage engineering leaders mentor direct reports establish operating practices translate business requirements into technical plans review vendor designs oversee security and data governance and collaborate on shared engineering standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software platform or data engineering
- 4+ years of experience managing engineers and engineering managers
- Experience hiring building career paths and developing succession depth across a multi-manager organization
- Comfort operating in an ambiguous transformation environment
- Experience owning technical architecture and engineering practices including repository management CI/CD code review and testing
- Experience managing engineers data engineers and platform or systems administrators
- Data-first orientation focused on data architecture and flow
- Fluency in event-based service-oriented architectures using server-side JavaScript TypeScript and Node.js in AWS
- Deep experience with REST and GraphQL API architectures and OAuth and JWT authorization
- Familiarity with SQL Python dbt data modeling pipeline orchestration ETLs reverse ETLs and medallion architectures
- Experience with infrastructure as code platforms such as Terraform
- Experience with modern AI-centric engineering workflows
- Experience with Model Context Protocol and autonomous AI agents
- Experience with graph theory and databases
- Experience managing vendors and implementation partners on complex platform builds
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms used in GTM or Finance at an architectural and API level
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition toward platform and data engineering
- Own the architecture design and delivery roadmap for business systems enterprise data and integrations
- Manage and develop engineering managers and direct reports
- Establish engineering standards workflows and operating practices
- Translate business process and product requirements into technical scope staffing and sequencing
- Review vendor architecture proposals and approve technical designs
- Own security RBAC and data governance across business platforms
- Partner with engineering leaders on shared platforms solutions and codebases
