About the Role
You will lead the global investigations function, set its strategy and standards, manage investigators, and direct complex investigations. You will develop cases for civil or criminal enforcement, oversee engagement with authorities, maintain law-enforcement relationships, strengthen controls from findings, and report significant matters to leadership.
Requirements
- Prior service as an Assistant United States Attorney or trial attorney in the DOJ Criminal Division
- Record of investigating, charging, and trying federal white-collar and fraud cases
- In-house or law-firm experience leading investigations
- JD and membership in a US state bar
- 15+ years of legal experience
- Experience leading investigative teams
- Knowledge of prosecutorial standards
- Written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead the global corporate investigations function and manage investigators
- Set investigation strategy, standards, methodology, intake, triage, and prioritization
- Direct investigations from allegations through findings
- Lead sensitive investigations, interviews, digital forensics, and financial tracing
- Develop cases for escalation to authorities and recovery of losses
- Oversee engagement with authorities through resolution
- Build relationships with law enforcement and prosecutors worldwide
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, HR, Legal, and business executives
- Translate findings into control improvements and report matters and trends to leadership
