About the Role

You will own the general ledger, statutory accounts, IFRS compliance, and balance-sheet reconciliations. You will build financial controls, automate accounting processes, support system migration, lead the accounting team, and work with external auditors.

Requirements

Qualified accountant
Experience owning the ledger and statutory accounts in a bank or regulated financial institution
IFRS knowledge, including IFRS 16
Experience building a control environment
Experience leading an accounting team through systems change or close acceleration
External audit experience as the primary finance contact

Responsibilities

Own the general ledger, month-end close, statutory accounts, and IFRS compliance
Lead the balance-sheet reconciliation programme
Build controls for segregation of duties, payments, supplier onboarding, and key processes
Drive automation and accounting system quality
Support the Business Central migration
Lead and grow the accounting team
Reduce consultant dependency by building permanent capability
