About the Role

Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation and total rewards programs, including base pay, bonuses, equity and token grants. Analyze compensation data, benchmark roles, develop salary bands, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate rewards clearly to employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or related HR functions.
  • Experience in startup, tech, or crypto environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of compensation structures, equity programs, and market benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with token-based compensation models.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, HRIS platforms, and compensation benchmarking software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex rewards concepts clearly.
  • Compensation or rewards certification such as CCP or CEBS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a competitive compensation framework across all levels.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform pay strategies.
  • Establish salary bands and pay structures with leadership to ensure internal equity.
  • Design and support administration of token and equity compensation models.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive total rewards strategy including benefits and recognition programs.
  • Evaluate and refine benefit offerings to align with employee needs.
  • Develop performance reward strategies including bonuses and spot awards.
  • Oversee administration of equity and token grant programs and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with legal and finance for accurate reporting of equity and token activities.
  • Educate employees on the value and mechanics of token and equity compensation.
  • Analyze compensation data, identify trends and gaps, and present insights to leadership.
  • Monitor industry and crypto market trends to refine the rewards approach.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and international compensation and benefits regulations.
  • Develop and maintain compensation and rewards policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and leadership to align rewards with business objectives.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions about compensation and benefits.
  • Lead communication initiatives to explain the total rewards philosophy.
