About the Role
You will manually fly and land fixed-wing UAVs, perform pre-flight checks, make go/no-go decisions, lead compliant flight operations, identify test sites, coordinate permissions, develop flight plans and safety processes, and provide flight-performance feedback.
Requirements
- Experience manually flying high-performance fixed-wing UAVs
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Recent active experience leading business flight operations and serving as remote Pilot-in-Command
- Ability to make independent go/no-go decisions and identify risk
Responsibilities
- Manually fly and land fixed-wing UAVs in FPV and line-of-sight configurations
- Perform pre-flight checks and make go/no-go decisions
- Lead flight operations in compliance with Part 107 regulations
- Serve as or support the remote Pilot-in-Command
- Provide feedback on airframe and controller performance
- Identify and secure test locations
- Coordinate with landowners and relevant authorities
- Develop flight plans and safety processes
- Translate test objectives into safe flight profiles
