About the Role
You will own avionics integration architecture across aircraft platforms, define technical standards, lead integration and verification, manage systemic risks, mentor engineers, and represent avionics integration in design, flight-test, and certification reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or related Engineering
- 8+ years of complex aircraft systems integration experience
- Experience owning integration architecture across multiple platforms or programs
- Experience integrating COTS or MOTS avionics, custom hardware, embedded software, sensors, and human-machine interfaces
- Knowledge of Ethernet, ARINC 429, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and MIL-STD-1553
- Experience leading integration through design reviews, lab testing, and flight testing
- Experience authoring or approving schematics, interface control documents, and architecture diagrams
- Experience mentoring engineers and communicating with executives, customers, and regulators
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Own avionics integration architecture across aircraft platforms
- Set integration strategy, technical standards, and test methodology
- Lead systems-level integration and verification of avionics, hardware, and software
- Represent avionics integration in design, flight-test, and certification discussions
- Identify systemic integration risks and drive root-cause resolution
- Mentor integration engineers and installation technicians
- Coordinate integration decisions across systems, software, flight test, certification, and maintenance
- Review interface definitions and installation and certification documentation
- Travel up to 50% to support aircraft and system integration
