About the Role
You will own design delivery for special projects from ambiguous problem definition through construction administration and closeout. You will define scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and delivery teams; procure and manage specialist partners; coordinate stakeholders; lead design reviews; support construction and commissioning; and capture lessons for future standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in design, construction, architecture, engineering, design management, or technical program management
- Experience leading projects from problem definition or concept through construction documents and construction administration
- Experience delivering a lab, test facility, pilot, prototype, value-engineering program, or rapid-response design fix
- Experience procuring, negotiating, and administering AE, consultant, and vendor contracts
- Technical knowledge across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines
- Construction-administration experience with RFIs, submittals, field issue resolution, and closeout
- Experience with BIM, coordination tools, and document-management platforms
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline

- Manage concurrent innovation, pilot, lab, value-engineering, and critical-site projects
- Build and manage design schedules
- Lead lab, test, validation, modular, and first-of-a-kind pilot designs
- Lead portfolio value-engineering studies and integrate adopted outcomes into standards
- Resolve urgent live-site design issues with coordinated, buildable solutions
- Procure, negotiate with, and administer AE, consultant, and vendor partners
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners
- Lead design reviews, coordination, clash detection, and construction-document delivery
- Lead construction administration, site visits, commissioning support, and design closeout
- Capture project lessons, performance data, costs, and design details
