About the Role

You will prepare autonomous truck systems, launch and monitor manual and autonomous missions, and communicate vehicle status to the Vehicle Operator. You will document events, inspect hardware, manage mission data, perform calibration, verify operational conditions, and maintain overnight shift records and bay standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical aptitude and comfort using a command line
• Written communication and documentation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures under time pressure
• Availability for overnight, late-night, weekend, holiday, extended, and consecutive shifts
• Ability to travel for missions, scouting, and testing
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to inspect Class 8 tractors and trailers, including climbing scaffolding, stairs, or ladders

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle systems for manual and autonomous missions
• Launch, hold, end, and close out missions
• Monitor vehicle and autonomy-system status
• Relay system state and vehicle intent to the Vehicle Operator
• Call for a disengagement when safe communication is not possible
• Annotate on-road events and categorize disengagements
• Track and report mission performance
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip documentation and hardware photography
• Manage data drives and confirm log offloads
• Execute calibration and static validation collections
• Verify Operational Design Domain conditions with Dispatch
• Serve as a spotter for backing maneuvers and apply G.O.A.L.
• Post shift status, maintain 5-S standards, and brief Vehicle Operators
