About the Role
You will oversee scheduling, dispatch, and performance management for autonomous test drivers and safety operators. You will ride on pilot routes, review takeover logs, manage truck assets and testing execution, and improve route reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 4+ years of operations management, fleet management, logistics, or related experience.
- Hands-on commercial motor vehicle fleet management, dispatching, or maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and Hours of Service rules.
- Experience managing frontline personnel.
- Ability to understand software and hardware systems and data logs.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Operational analysis skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and spend considerable time in a Class 8 truck.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily scheduling, dispatching, and management of the autonomous test driver and safety operator fleet.
- Conduct one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions with operators.
- Ride on pilot routes to observe driver protocol, safety compliance, and system interaction.
- Analyze vehicle takeover logs with operators to identify driver and software improvements.
- Manage the daily execution of engineering test plans and commercial pilot operations.
- Oversee deployment, maintenance scheduling, and utilization of autonomous trucks and hardware assets.
- Improve pilot routes, delivery reliability, and autonomous testing mileage.
