About the Role
You will own monthly close, U.S. GAAP financial statements, internal controls, accounting policy, tax compliance, treasury, and the annual external audit. You will implement scalable accounting systems, lead the accounting function, and partner on financial strategy, reporting, and growth infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2 years as a Controller or Assistant Controller at a high-growth or venture-backed company
- Deep U.S. GAAP expertise
- Experience with ASC 606, stock-based compensation, and capitalization
- Experience leading or supporting an external audit and establishing internal controls
- Experience building scalable close processes and implementing accounting systems
- CPA
- Strong cross-functional communication
Responsibilities
- Own U.S. GAAP financial statements and the monthly close
- Lead the annual external audit and serve as primary auditor liaison
- Establish accounting policies for revenue recognition, expenses, capitalization, and leases
- Own indirect tax compliance and manage external tax advisors
- Own treasury operations, cash management, disbursements, and bank relationships
- Implement accounting systems and automate the order-to-cash process
- Build and lead the accounting team and manage the outsourced accounting partner
- Partner on variance analysis, ARR tracking, management discussion and analysis, financial strategy, and Board reporting
- Collaborate with Legal, Deal Desk, People, and Product on accounting treatment
