About the Role
You will maintain and repair a robotic fleet supporting clinical operations. You will perform preventive and incident maintenance, troubleshoot critical issues, travel to customer sites, support root-cause analysis, and report service metrics such as repair time and first-contact resolution.
Requirements
- Be local to Chicago, Illinois, and able to travel within the designated region.
- Travel up to 80% for site inspections and repairs, including short-notice travel.
- Read and understand manufacturing work instructions, mechanical assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Use electrical and mechanical tools, including digital multimeters, soldering equipment, crimping tools, and hand tools.
- Be comfortable using basic command-line tools.
- Be able to obtain vendor credentials with partner hospitals.
- Have 3+ years of experience with commercially available products.
- Have technical experience troubleshooting complex robotic systems.
- Execute high-quality field work independently.
- Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency with work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Travel to support robot service needs.
- Conduct routine and incident maintenance for the robot fleet.
- Support root-cause analysis for major field incidents.
- Provide timely repairs and reduce robot downtime.
- Report critical metrics, including mean time to repair and first-contact resolution rate.
