About the Role
The Facility Maintenance Lead supervises a team responsible for facility and equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inventory, documentation, reporting, safety audits, OSHA compliance, and fieldwork in challenging environmental conditions.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience in maintenance, repair, or a related technical field
- Experience with preventative maintenance and maintenance scheduling
- Knowledge of heavy equipment such as scissor lifts and telehandlers
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and structural issues
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SharePoint is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle physical fieldwork in extreme conditions
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor maintenance specialists
- Schedule tasks and delegate work to team members
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
- Escalate complex issues to management when necessary
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and tasks
- Approve and monitor repairs to equipment and machinery
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and PPE
- Approve orders for replacement tools and PPE
- Maintain organized and safe work areas
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities in Excel and SharePoint
- Review and approve maintenance reports and follow up on issues
- Provide regular maintenance updates to the Site Manager
- Enforce OSHA regulations and safety procedures
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions
- Train team members on safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
- Oversee fieldwork including work at heights, confined spaces, and heavy lifting
