About the Role
You will support environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing and laboratory operations. You will conduct workplace inspections and hazard assessments, maintain compliance records, coordinate safety training, and assist with incident documentation and corrective-action follow-up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, or a related field with 1 year of experience; master’s degree with no experience; 5 or more years of progressive EHS experience in lieu of a degree; or high school diploma or equivalent with 3 or more years of progressive EHS experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and applicable environmental and safety regulations
- Ability to conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and communicate findings
- Experience maintaining compliance documentation and training records in a regulated industrial environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Conduct facility walk-throughs and hazard assessments
- Document unsafe conditions and track corrective actions
- Maintain EHS training logs, inspection reports, incident records, SDS files, and compliance calendars
- Coordinate safety training, onboarding, and refresher training
- Track training completion and maintain training records
- Support workplace incident, near-miss, and environmental-event investigations
- Track corrective and preventive actions to closure
