About the Role
You will act as the primary EHS resource at the Madison data centre. You will implement safety and environmental programs, conduct audits and risk assessments, lead incident investigations, oversee contractor and colocation safety, deliver training, coordinate emergency preparedness, and track EHS performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in relevant operational environments.
- OSHA regulations and EHS management-systems knowledge.
- Incident-investigation and root-cause-analysis experience.
- Communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as the primary site EHS resource.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain site EHS programs, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and workplace evaluations.
- Track corrective actions and resolve identified issues.
- Facilitate safety meetings, training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action processes.
- Serve as the EHS liaison with the colocation facility operator.
- Manage contractor safety oversight, risk assessments, permits, and safety plans.
- Support operational readiness, commissioning, logistics, and change management.
- Coordinate waste, hazardous-materials, spill-prevention, and e-waste programs.
- Coordinate emergency response, drills, and business-continuity activities.
- Deliver EHS onboarding and training.
- Track EHS metrics and prepare reports and dashboards.
