About the Role
You will design, code, and ship cloud infrastructure systems, making key architecture and implementation decisions. You will run Kubernetes in production, lead a small engineering squad, deliver the roadmap, partner on priorities, define execution processes, and mentor engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Experience shipping production systems in Go
- Experience running Kubernetes in production
- Experience working directly with Linux
- Deep expertise in storage, networking, or observability
- 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems
- At least 2 years leading engineers
- Experience partnering with Product, Design, and Business teams to ship software
Responsibilities
- Design and ship cloud infrastructure systems in Go
- Own architecture and difficult implementation decisions
- Run Kubernetes in production and address platform failures
- Deliver the team roadmap with reliability and performance
- Lead and develop engineers by removing obstacles and setting ownership standards
- Partner with Product Managers to prioritize and scope initiatives
- Define team processes and execution rituals
- Raise engineering standards through code review, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
