About the Role
You will lead a platform engineering team through people management, hiring, technical guidance, delivery, and code-review standards. You will scope and run projects, manage work allocation and on-call operations, unblock engineers, contribute hands-on, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure and automation.
Requirements
- Have experience leading or mentoring infrastructure or platform engineers
- Have 5+ years building and operating distributed infrastructure at scale
- Understand Linux kernels, networking, storage, namespaces, and containers
- Use cloud operations, Terraform or IaC, and Kubernetes or Nomad
- Maintain high standards for delivery and engineering quality
- Work in person and closely with users
Responsibilities
- Lead platform engineers through one-to-ones, performance reviews, career growth, hiring, and day-to-day management
- Own delivery quality and ensure work meets the definition of done
- Scope work, lead projects, and deliver on time
- Allocate work, unblock engineers, and provide technical direction
- Set technical guidance and code-review standards
- Surface operational and project signals to technical leadership
- Plan the on-call rota and own incident follow-up
- Contribute hands-on to projects
