About the Role
You will lead the development of scalable governance, risk, and compliance systems. You will build automated workflows, data pipelines, integrations, policy-as-code controls, and AI-powered processes for continuous compliance monitoring and audit readiness. You will set the technical roadmap, hire and develop engineers, and work hands-on with designs, code reviews, and integrations.
Requirements
- Systems architecture and enterprise internal-tool design
- Data integration, normalization, and data-quality handling
- REST API, webhook, authentication, polling, and push-architecture knowledge
- Cloud-platform familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code knowledge with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- DevSecOps, CI/CD integration, and policy-as-code knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 12+ years of total experience
- 3-4+ years managing technical individual contributors or systems-focused teams
- 5+ years designing and scaling automated workflows, data pipelines, or system integrations
- Python or similar programming-language proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the GRC engineering team and establish foundational processes and architecture
- Design and build automated risk-management and compliance workflows
- Build data pipelines that aggregate and normalize risk, control, and asset information
- Plan and build GRC tooling that meets compliance requirements
- Translate policies and compliance requirements into policy-as-code
- Establish feedback loops between written policies and technical controls
- Design and deploy agentic AI workflows for evidence analysis, control monitoring, audit responses, and policy interpretation
- Design and maintain integrations with infrastructure, identity, HRIS, ticketing, version-control, and CI/CD systems
- Hire team members and define the technical roadmap for compliance automation
