About the Role
You will lead a DevOps pod and set its roadmap, engineering standards, and cloud budget. You will build resilient, compliant infrastructure; improve delivery and observability; support incident response; and partner with security, compliance, and legal stakeholders. You will also hire, coach, and develop engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
- 4+ years managing an infrastructure team at scale
- Experience operating in a regulated or audited environment
- Experience running high-traffic production infrastructure across multiple regions
- Ability to write Terraform, Helm, and pipeline code
- Ability to debug production incidents
- Demonstrated hiring and performance management experience
- Experience using AI agents and assistants to automate DevOps operational work
- Clear written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a DevOps pod of 10+ engineers
- Own the DevOps roadmap, engineering standards, and cloud budget
- Design failover capabilities and validate them through regular drills
- Build infrastructure controls for DORA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR
- Own CI/CD, environments, artefact and secrets management, progressive rollout, and rollback
- Define SLOs, alerting, DevOps escalation support, and blameless post-mortems
- Review designs, debug incidents, and contribute hands-on when needed
- Partner with InfoSec, Compliance, and Legal on security and regulatory requirements
- Hire, coach, and develop engineers
