About the Role
Tide is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineering Manager to lead Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers and partner with Product Management. The role owns technical direction and end-to-end delivery for highly visible in-person acquiring products, while driving scalable architecture, reliable production systems, vendor integrations, hardware partnerships, platform transformation, and international payment-network expansion.
Requirements
- Proven experience directly managing, coaching, and developing cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong full-stack leadership with deep expertise in at least one core engineering domain or platform.
- Extensive experience with robust applications, server-side engineering, mobile deployment architecture, and scalable system design.
- FinTech experience, particularly in acquiring, in-person payments, ePOS systems, or payment gateway integrations, is highly desirable.
- Experience building scalable and reliable cloud-native systems using microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience integrating complex third-party vendors, hardware providers, and external payment networks.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Hands-on technical leadership, strong architecture judgment, and effective stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team of Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers.
- Own technical direction and end-to-end execution for global in-person acquiring products.
- Oversee ePOS solutions, Tap to Pay technologies, cross-platform mobile apps, and pricing engines.
- Drive architecture for third-party vendor integrations, hardware partnerships, and payment networks.
- Lead platform transformation and engineering scale-up for localized payment networks and European expansion toolkits.
- Maintain highly reliable live products and champion engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
