About the Role

You will lead people and delivery for a multidisciplinary engineering group. You will turn product priorities into executable plans, manage and develop engineers, remove blockers, hire team members, and partner with product and technical leaders. You will remain hands-on in the codebase and help shape technical direction, delivery processes, and team growth.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and line-managing a software engineering team
  • Experience building and shipping web applications
  • Ability to work in a TypeScript, React, and Node codebase
  • Experience leading AI/ML engineers and integrating research-oriented work into agile delivery
  • Engineering management as a primary career focus
  • Experience partnering with Product to shape priorities and challenge scope
  • Experience handling underperformance, conflict, and ambiguity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Vetted status at least to SC level

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery for dominAI
  • Line-manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Stay hands-on in the codebase and pick up delivery work when needed
  • Own hiring for the team
  • Partner with the Product Manager on priorities, scope, timelines, and technical investment
  • Work with technical leaders and senior specialists on technical direction
  • Shape the team environment and align stakeholders around team autonomy
