About the Role
You will lead the engineering effort to launch and sustain card programs across new markets. You will own market localization, regulatory integrations, cross-team launch coordination, post-launch stability, incident management, and enhancements to the core card platform while guiding engineering strategy and technical design.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role
- Experience building and operating payments, risk or fraud systems, card infrastructure, financial reconciliation, or API platforms
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Experience driving architectural decisions
- Systems thinking
- Ability to design fault-tolerant, observable, and scalable services
- TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS experience
Responsibilities
- Own engineering workstreams for card program compliance across new markets
- Integrate local vendors, issuer processors, and BIN sponsor systems
- Translate regulatory requirements into engineering deliverables
- Drive sequenced delivery across dependent teams
- Own engineering plans for market launches
- Establish on-call runbooks, incident response playbooks, and SLAs
- Monitor and manage engineering stability after launch
- Drive improvements based on production signals
- Contribute to development of the core card platform
- Balance market delivery with long-term platform health
