About the Role
You will lead engineering efforts across LATAM, develop and scale payment innovations, guide engineering teams, build a high-performing organization, represent engineering to regional merchants, partner globally on a shared platform, and ensure key projects are delivered on time.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Experience building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams
- Experience hiring and managing a software development organization of ideally 25–50 engineers
- Experience managing managers
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems
- Expertise in Java or similar programming languages
- Passion for software architecture, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience in the payments industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Portuguese
