About the Role

You provide employment law advice across the EMEA region, handle contentious and non-contentious matters, support HR and business projects, advise on compensation, benefits, contracts, policies, regulatory issues, and transactions, manage legal risk, work with external counsel, and conduct training.

Requirements

• Qualification as a solicitor or lawyer in England and Wales or another relevant jurisdiction
• Strong academic record
• Comprehensive employment law experience in private practice or an in-house financial services legal team
• Employment law knowledge across EMEA jurisdictions
• Strong attention to legal risk
• Ability to analyze information and data
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide contentious and non-contentious employment law coverage across EMEA
• Advise on grievances, performance management, disciplinaries, flexible working, redundancies, separations, TUPE transfers, tribunal claims, ACAS conciliations, and employee DSARs
• Support strategic business and regulatory projects
• Collaborate on firm-wide AI and diversity initiatives
• Advise on staff transfers, outsourcing, insourcing, office openings, and transactions
• Advise the Rewards team on compensation, benefits, and remuneration regulations
• Review employment contracts and restrictive covenants
• Advise on HR policies and initiatives
• Support staff-related regulatory matters with Core Compliance
• Identify and manage employment law risks
• Liaise with external counsel
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Conduct legal training and education sessions
