About the Role
You will develop and maintain schematic-symbol and PCB-footprint libraries in Allegro. You will validate component data, manage metadata and version control, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering partners, resolve library issues, and perform quality checks to support accurate fabrication and assembly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of ECAD library management experience
- Allegro PCB Editor expertise
- Schematic symbol creation
- PCB footprint creation
- Part lifecycle knowledge
- EOL part knowledge
- RoHS and EU compliance knowledge
- IPC standards knowledge
- JEDEC package standards knowledge
- Manufacturing collaboration experience
- Version control experience
- Git or PLM software experience
- SKILL scripting
- BOM management
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and organize Allegro schematic-symbol and PCB-footprint libraries
- Create and validate schematic symbols and PCB footprints
- Maintain component metadata, part numbering, attributes, and datasheet links
- Adapt symbols and footprints for design-for-manufacturability requirements
- Resolve library issues with electrical engineers and layout designers
- Establish library version-control, approval, and data-integrity practices
- Obtain technical data from component suppliers
- Perform quality checks on symbols and footprints
