About the Role
You will own multilayer PCB layouts for high-performance computing and AI hardware. You will route high-speed interfaces, define layout rules, select fabrication technologies, perform floorplanning and component placement, and create power and ground planes. You will work with fabricators and engineering disciplines to address manufacturability, signal integrity, power delivery, mechanical, thermal, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Approximately 8+ years of PCB design experience
- Cadence Allegro experience
- Experience with high-speed complex PCBs, including high layer counts, HDI, multilamination, VIPPO, and back drilling
- Ability to define and apply physical, spacing, and length-matching layout rules
- Experience working with fabricators on stackups, capabilities, and DFM, DFA, and DFT feedback
- Knowledge of GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe Gen 5/6, Ethernet, and USB interfaces
- Proficiency with Cadence schematic/layout tools v25.1 in the Cadence Pulse environment
- Knowledge of IPC, UL, CE, RoHS, and FCC requirements
Responsibilities
- Own multilayer PCB layouts for high-performance computing and AI hardware
- Route GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and other high-speed interfaces
- Use Cadence schematic and layout tools in the Cadence Pulse environment
- Select fabrication technologies while balancing performance and cost
- Perform floorplanning, component placement, board connectivity, and power/ground-plane creation
- Work with fabricators on stackups, capabilities, and DFM, DFA, and DFT feedback
- Collaborate to meet PDN, signal-integrity, mechanical, thermal, and regulatory requirements
