About the Role
You will contribute to physical implementation of AI accelerators from floorplanning through tapeout. You will support floorplanning, macro placement, power planning, clock tree synthesis, place and route, routing optimization, and signoff. You will execute implementation flows, drive closure for assigned blocks, support methodology development, and apply AI-enabled techniques for QoR, congestion, routing, and floorplan analysis.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of physical design experience from floorplanning through tapeout
- Experience contributing to one or more advanced-node tapeouts
- Proficiency in Innovus and/or ICC2 implementation flows
- Knowledge of floorplanning, clock tree synthesis, timing closure, and power closure
- Experience supporting signoff across timing, power, and related quality metrics
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Support floorplanning, macro placement, and power planning
- Drive clock tree synthesis, place and route, routing optimization, and timing closure for assigned blocks
- Contribute to signal integrity, IR/EM closure, ECO implementation, and metal fill
- Support tapeout signoff deliverables
- Contribute to power-grid, bump-planning, congestion-analysis, wire-estimation, partitioning, and hierarchical-implementation methodology
- Execute Innovus-based implementation flows
- Drive closure across timing, power, area, congestion, DRC, LVS, EM, IR, and yield for owned blocks
- Partner with backend design services and participate in implementation quality reviews
- Apply AI-enabled techniques for QoR analysis, congestion prediction, routing prediction, and floorplan optimization
