About the Role
You will lead revenue accounting, technical accounting, and accounts receivable functions. You will oversee revenue close activities, contract assessments, collections, controls, audits, and reporting. You will manage leaders and team members while partnering on product offerings, commercial arrangements, systems, and accounting compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with revenue recognition in software or technology
- Knowledge of ASC 606 for SaaS, licenses, support, services, and usage-based arrangements
- Experience leading multiple accounting teams or functions
- Experience overseeing accounts receivable, collections, aging, and credit loss assessments
- Experience evaluating complex contracts and product offerings
- Experience managing a revenue close, controls, and audit documentation
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification
Responsibilities
- Lead global revenue accounting, technical revenue accounting, and accounts receivable teams
- Oversee monthly and quarterly revenue close activities
- Direct technical accounting reviews of complex contracts and product offerings under ASC 606
- Oversee collections, cash application, aging analysis, credit loss reserves, and customer account issues
- Partner with sales, deal management, product, legal, and finance systems stakeholders
- Manage and develop leaders and team members
- Own revenue and accounts receivable processes, systems, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requirements
