About the Role
You will define strategy, priorities, investment areas, and execution plans for an HPC engineering organisation. You will lead managers and senior technical leaders, oversee platform quality and service delivery, develop leadership capability, and own budget, headcount, and organisational investment decisions.
Requirements
- Experience leading a significant HPC, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering organisation
- Technical credibility in HPC software, distributed infrastructure, Linux platforms, and production operations
- Experience translating strategy into team structure and execution
- Experience leading through managers and senior technical leaders
- Experience with organisation design, hiring, leadership development, and performance management
- Stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience owning budget, headcount, and planning decisions
- Understanding of GPU infrastructure, HPC scheduling, networking, and production services
- Slurm experience
Responsibilities
- Define HPC engineering strategy and organisational priorities
- Translate strategy into investment areas and execution plans
- Lead managers, senior technical leaders, and team-of-teams structures
- Own delivery outcomes, service quality, and team health
- Shape team topology, ownership, and operating mechanisms
- Sponsor major cross-team HPC initiatives
- Hire, develop, and retain engineering leaders and senior engineers
- Own budget, headcount planning, and investment decisions
