About the Role
You will design and maintain Workbench components and patterns, evolve token architecture, pair with engineers on coded implementations, contribute to AI tooling and documentation, support designers and engineers, and guide systemic decisions about component architecture and migration.
Requirements
- 4+ years on a product design systems team
- 7+ years on a product design team
- Token architecture and component API design experience
- Meaningful experience using AI tools such as Claude or Copilot
- Ability to pair with engineering and contribute to code repositories
- WCAG AA knowledge
- Expertise in Figma, complex components, variables, tokens, and prototyping
- Basic GitHub process knowledge
- Documentation and education expertise
- LLM-readable documentation, MCP server, or AI-assisted design tooling experience
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Workbench components and patterns
- Evolve semantic and functional token architecture
- Pair with engineers on design decisions and coded implementations
- Review implementations and contribute pull requests
- Contribute to AI tooling, documentation, and Storybook examples
- Support product designers and engineers through office hours, Slack, and reviews
- Document design decisions and component guidance
- Guide component architecture, naming conventions, and migration strategy
