About the Role
You will oversee data center technicians and critical site operations. You will manage power, cooling, networking, hardware deployment, maintenance, incidents, inventory, vendors, and operational metrics. You will improve processes, support expansion, promote sustainability, and lead emergency response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data center operations or similar critical-environment experience
- 3+ years managing technical teams
- Server hardware expertise
- Cabling expertise
- Data center technology expertise
- Ability to travel to data center locations
- Ability to perform occasional on-call duties
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical data center tasks
Responsibilities
- Manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments
- Lead and develop Data Center Operations Technicians
- Manage hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory
- Coordinate with AI specialists and external vendors
- Champion energy-efficient and sustainable practices
- Track uptime, power efficiency, and issue-resolution metrics
- Lead emergency response and resolve urgent issues
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules and Jira ticket workflows
- Standardize operational best practices across sites
