About the Role
Own the technical direction of Malcolm, an AI-powered insurance distribution infrastructure venture. Define the platform architecture, lead the agent-first orchestration engine, grow the engineering team, collaborate with insurer partners, and partner with the CEO on product, commercial, and fundraising decisions.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production systems
- Strong opinions about architecture with the ability to defend them
- Ability to write code and lead a team that writes code better than you
- Understanding of making LLM-led conversational flows deterministic in regulated financial services
- London-based or willing to be
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Define the architecture of the multi-class, multi-insurer platform
- Lead the build of the agent-first orchestration engine
- Grow and lead the engineering team
- Work directly with insurer partners on integrations
- Partner with the CEO on product strategy, commercial decisions, and fundraising narrative
