About the Role
You will provide technical assurance for critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety infrastructure at colocation sites. You will manage technical risks, review maintenance and change plans, investigate incidents, validate commissioning, assess capacity, and coach stakeholders on resilient operations.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years in critical facilities engineering, commissioning, data center operations, or technical assurance
- Knowledge of critical electrical infrastructure and mechanical cooling systems
- Ability to review technical diagrams, procedures, maintenance plans, commissioning evidence, and root-cause analyses
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure incidents
- Ability to influence external technical teams without direct authority
- Written and verbal English communication
- Willingness to travel and participate in incident escalation
Responsibilities
- Maintain the site technical risk register
- Assess electrical and mechanical infrastructure resilience
- Review preventive maintenance strategies and critical asset conditions
- Review high-risk procedures, switching plans, impairments, and contingencies
- Validate technical documentation and operating procedures
- Analyze BMS and EPMS data to identify operating risks
- Act as an engineering escalation point during major incidents
- Review root-cause analyses and verify corrective actions
- Support emergency response planning and exercises
- Review expansion, retrofit, design, commissioning, and testing plans
- Assess critical infrastructure changes and recommend safeguards
- Provide technical coaching and contribute to engineering standards
