About the Role
You will develop and review electrical design packages for high-density compute facilities. You will ensure designs meet capacity, redundancy, and code requirements; coordinate integrated designs across disciplines; support construction reviews and RFI resolution; present design decisions to clients; and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of electrical design engineering experience for mission-critical or data center facilities
- Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution and backup power systems
- Experience with electrical distribution review and validation against industry standards
- Experience with busway, RPP, and high-density rack power distribution
- Ability to present design rationale to clients or tenants
- Ability to work across multiple concurrent site designs
Responsibilities
- Develop and review electrical design packages for power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS, and busway
- Ensure electrical designs meet capacity, redundancy, and code requirements
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and commissioning disciplines on integrated system design
- Support constructibility reviews and RFI resolution during construction and site selection
- Act as the electrical subject-matter expert in client and tenant design reviews and technical due diligence sessions
- Translate design decisions for non-engineering client audiences
- Mentor junior electrical engineers
