About the Role

You will own thermal design and validation for liquid-cooled rack systems from design through deployment. You will develop commissioning processes, validate CDU systems, characterize thermal and hydraulic performance, define cooling controls, support facility integration, create specifications, and resolve thermal-fluid issues.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of thermal or mechanical engineering experience
  • Hands-on CDU and datacenter liquid cooling experience
  • Experience installing, commissioning, or validating datacenter-scale liquid cooling systems
  • Experience with CDU flow, pressure, temperature, and controls testing
  • Knowledge of datacenter cooling loops and control systems
  • Experience working with customers, facility teams, and suppliers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Own thermal design and validation of the rack-level liquid loop and cooling interfaces
  • Develop deployment, fill, and commissioning processes for liquid-cooled racks
  • Validate reference CDU systems and qualify CDU partners
  • Characterize thermal and hydraulic performance to inform design decisions
  • Define and validate cooling-loop control strategies
  • Support facility integration questions for customers
  • Partner with module-level thermal engineers on rack-level constraints
  • Create thermal specifications, commissioning procedures, validation reports, and facility requirements documents
  • Investigate and resolve thermal and fluid-related issues

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • USD 500 monthly credit for waiving medical benefits
  • USD 2,000 monthly housing subsidy for eligible employees living within walking distance of the office
  • Relocation support to San Jose
