About the Role
You will execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and controls systems at active project sites. You will support startup and testing, inspect installations, document findings and resolutions, coordinate with project stakeholders, maintain commissioning records, enforce safety requirements, communicate progress, and prepare systems for operational turnover.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on commissioning, startup, or field engineering experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments
- Ability to read construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment submittals
- Understanding of commissioning documentation, test scripts, punch lists, and turnover packages
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on active construction sites
- Written and verbal communication skills for field reports and stakeholder communication
- Willingness to travel and potentially relocate for project assignments
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-functional, functional, and integrated system commissioning activities
- Support startup and commissioning of critical infrastructure systems
- Document commissioning activities, test results, deficiencies, and resolutions
- Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams
- Conduct site observations to verify installation completeness and compliance
- Identify field deficiencies and drive timely resolution
- Support readiness for operational turnover
- Maintain commissioning records, test reports, punch lists, and startup logs
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance during commissioning activities
- Communicate daily progress, issues, and schedule risks to project stakeholders
