About the Role
You will provide technical and administrative support to the on-site project manager and construction team. You will manage RFIs, coordinate submittals and shop-drawing reviews, inspect quality and document progress against plans and specifications, and help prepare RFQ documents for developers and contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role on large construction projects
- Proficiency reading and interpreting architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with RFI and submittal management processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience with data center, mission-critical facility, or industrial construction projects
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, or similar construction management platforms
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Classification, TIA-942, and ASHRAE thermal guidelines
- Knowledge of UPS, PDU, generator plants, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH cooling, BMS/DCIM, and structured cabling
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience working in a general contractor or owner’s representative capacity
- Commissioning experience or familiarity with mechanical and electrical commissioning processes
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and administrative support to the on-site project manager and construction team
- Manage the RFI log and process, track responses, and distribute updated information
- Coordinate submittal and shop-drawing reviews with construction teams, engineers, and architects
- Conduct quality-control inspections and document progress against plans and specifications
- Prepare RFQ documents for developers and contractors
