About the Role
You will build and run the accounting function from the ground up. You will design scalable processes, manage global accounting operations, oversee close and consolidation, establish technical accounting policies, manage tax compliance and audits, lead financial systems implementation, and build and mentor the accounting team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Deep technical accounting expertise, including ASC 606 and SaaS metrics
- Experience building and scaling accounting operations, policies, systems, and audits
- NetSuite experience
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
- Experience building, mentoring, and scaling accounting teams
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Ability to explain complex accounting topics to non-finance audiences
- Sound judgment in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
- Big 4 public accounting experience
- Experience in high-growth B2B SaaS or AI companies
- Experience leading a NetSuite implementation
Responsibilities
- Lead global accounting operations, including foreign subsidiary management, transfer pricing, foreign exchange exposure, and multicurrency consolidated reporting
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including global consolidation and intercompany eliminations
- Own technical accounting policy, especially revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations across US and international entities
- Prepare internal reporting and ad hoc financial analyses
- Oversee international, federal, state, and local tax compliance and regulatory filings
- Own the financial systems roadmap and lead ERP implementation
- Lead audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Build, mentor, and scale the accounting team
