About the Role
You will own global monthly and quarterly close activities for payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and operating expenses. You will maintain the accounting systems and audit-ready data, prepare and defend US GAAP accounting memos, mentor corporate and offshore accounting staff, and develop close automation, AI, SOX, and internal-control processes.
Requirements
- Experience leading or serving as a senior driver of global monthly and quarterly close at a high-growth public or pre-IPO software or technology company
- Experience in Big Four public accounting and in-house corporate accounting
- Experience writing and defending accounting memos with external auditors
- Experience operating under SOX and Big Four external audit requirements
- Experience applying AI or automation to accounting processes
- Experience mentoring teams, including offshore shared services teams
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, VisualLease, Zip, Navan, or Brex
- SEC reporting exposure at a public company
- CPA license
Responsibilities
- Own global monthly and quarterly close activities for payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and operating expenses
- Maintain the accounting stack and keep payroll and expense data clean and audit-ready
- Write and defend accounting memos on ambiguous transactions under US GAAP
- Lead and mentor the corporate accounting team and offshore shared services team
- Build close automation and AI processes
- Own SOX and internal-controls readiness
