About the Role
You will plan and execute lifts, inspect and install rigging hardware, signal operators, and communicate with lift crews. You will move and land mechanical equipment, maintain rigging gear and work areas, follow site safety requirements, report hazards, and support cleanup through system turnover.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial or commercial construction rigging experience, completion of a recognized rigger or ironworker apprenticeship, or equivalent military experience
- Ability to travel extensively to data center construction sites and remain onsite during peak construction phases
- Ability to work in industrial environments, climb ladders, lift and position moderate loads, stand and walk for a full shift, and wear PPE for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute lifts using cranes, forklifts, gantries, tuggers, chain falls, and other hoisting equipment
- Inspect, select, and install rigging hardware before lifts
- Verify working load limits, hitch types, and sling angles
- Maintain rigging gear, storage areas, and laydown yards
- Signal crane and forklift operators and manage lift-team communication
- Move and land mechanical equipment
- Assist with lift sketches, load paths, and field changes
- Stage, move, and inventory rigging gear and construction materials
- Open, close, clean, and reset work areas
- Follow LOTO, PPE, lift-permit, and site rules
- Report damaged gear, unsafe conditions, and near misses
- Support punch-list work and cleanup through system turnover
