About the Role
You will act as the on-site owner’s representative for a utility-scale renewable energy project. You will oversee EPC contractors, manage safety, quality, schedule, budget, contracts, invoices, construction milestones, punch lists, and project closeout. You will coordinate with landowners, agencies, engineers, and project managers; conduct site inspections and safety walks; and maintain project documentation.
Requirements
- 5 years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, substation, or comparable large-scale construction management experience
- Knowledge of construction management processes, methods, building products, regulations, and quality standards
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to travel and generally work on site 5 days per week
- Ability to work in varied climates and conduct site inspections
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of utility-scale solar construction, BESS construction, Procore, Google Earth, or ArcGIS
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- FAA 107 license preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with safety personnel to prioritize safety goals
- Communicate with landowners and resolve construction concerns
- Manage drone photo progress updates
- Coordinate environmental and safety impact management
- Prepare and manage the project execution plan, schedule, kickoff, and closeout
- Direct on-site contract employees and approve time records
- Manage contracts, change orders, and project variances
- Monitor utility-scale solar construction by EPC contractors
- Manage solar and battery energy storage construction against contract and permit requirements
- Conduct daily safety walks and submit reports
- Track progress and coordinate schedule remediation
- Verify construction milestones, quality plans, deliverables, invoices, and punch lists
